How to apply

This foundation reports that it accepts applications.

Applications for contributions, other than scholarships, should be submitted by letter and accompanied by a copy of the organization's exemption letter under Code Sec. 501(c)(3). The application must request a specific dollar amount and include a brief explanation of the charitable activities of the organization. Applications for scholarship awards should be submitted directly to Scholarship America, St. Peter MN, on a pre-approved form. For details, see "Grant Information" at www.humanafoundation.org.

Deadlines: February 1, Humana Scholarship Program

Restrictions: The Humana Foundation identifies, funds, and nurtures projects and organizations in four areas: Connected Healthy Lives, Health Equity Innovation, Disaster Philanthropy, and Research. The scholarship competition is open to high school seniors, high school graduates, and college students who are children of Humana employees and plan on pursuing a college degree.
