APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT A BRIEF SUMMARY OF ACADEMIC BACKGROUND, STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES, ITINERARY AND BUDGET. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE WELCOME, AND THE SELECTION COMMITTEE MAY REQUEST AN INTERVIEW WITH THE APPLICANT.

Restrictions: GRANTS ARE AWARDED TO MEMBERS OF THE YALE COMMUNITY FOR WILDERNESS EXPLORATION WITH PHILOSOPHIC, ARTISTIC OR SCIENTIFIC INTENT, OR FOR TRAVEL TO RURAL AREAS OR DEVELOPING COUNTRIES FOR STUDY.
